Here is a card breakdown with the basic details of a character card for my tabletop game, Divine Intervention:


Character Name: The name of the character shown on the card. For role-playing purposes, a player can also make up their own name if they wish.


Card Art: The artwork depicting the character on the card.


Card Types: These are the various types that belong to this card. Mortals can be hurt by most damage sources in the game. Immortals can only be hurt by damage sources with the keyword Godslayer on them. Heralds are representatives of the gods controlled by the players.


Set Symbol: The symbol of the set this card belongs to.


Skills: These 6 skills are used by the players in combat, to impress cities, and to overcome obstacles:

Strength: Raw physical power. Can be used to inflict physical harm, intimidate others, and interact with large or heavy objects.

Dexterity: Reflexes and grace. Can be used to avoid damage, escape combat, hide or move silently, and interact with locked or delicate objects.

Constitution: Physical and moral hardiness. Can be used to heal yourself outside of combat, withstand draining effects on your physical body, and sway others on moral decisions.

Knowledge: Intelligence and wisdom. Can be used to inflict magical harm, use information to your advantage, apply your instinctive awareness, interact with and detect magic, and reason with others.

Presence: Charisma and influence. Can be used to sway others with your charm, physical attractiveness, or aura of self.

Wealth: Personal fortune and monetary influence. Can be used to hire mercenaries and bribe others.


Stats: These 6 stats are used by the players primarily in combat:

Magic Power: Represents your magical combat ability. You add your magic power to any spell damage you deal.

Physical Power: Represents your physical combat ability. You add your physical power to any ability damage you deal.

Magic Defense: Represents your defenses against magic damage. When you would take magic damage, first prevent damage equal to your magic defense value (before spending dexterity dice).

Physical Defense: Represents your defenses against physical damage. When you would take physical damage, first prevent damage equal to your physical defense value (before spending dexterity dice).

Health: Represents the total amount of damage you can take before dying.

Skill Dice: Represents the total amount of skill dice your character starts with. These dice can be spent to use your character's skills. The total amount of dice rolled at one time cannot exceed your skill value.


Starting Morality: The moral alignment of the character shown on the card. For role-playing purposes, a player can choose their own starting moral alignment if they wish.


Primary Elemental Type - Heralds gain the following features with their primary element:

- Gain the resistances associated with that elemental type.

- Gain the weaknesses associated with that elemental type.

- Can use spells and abilities of that elemental type at no extra cost

- Can have spells and abilities of that elemental type in their starting kit.

- Gain the basic attack card associated with that elemental type.


Secondary Elemental Type - Heralds gain the following features with their secondary element:

- Can use spells and abilities of that elemental type at no extra cost

- Can have spells and abilities of that elemental type in their starting kit.

- Gain the basic attack card associated with that elemental type.


Card Number & Rarity: For collection and organization purposes, this indicates what card number this is in the set, and its rarity (common, uncommon, rare, legendary).


Card Set & Language: Indicates which set this card belongs to (abbreviated name) and the language this card is printed in.


Artist Name: Indicates the name of the artist who made the artwork for this card.


Health Tracker: A tracker for character health.
