This castle painting is the largest in the series of works I did on medieval architecture. The canvas is about 6.25' long X 5' high, and I used both oil and acrylic paint. Here I was experimenting with washes and drips with the oil paint, so I think the title "Castle Moat" emphasizes the watery feeling :) My reference castle for this painting was Warwick Castle in Warwick, England.
